With this process anchoring my intentional shooting style, I capture the unnoticed moments, otherwise forgotten memories, unexpected perspectives and the unique personalities specific to each couple.
Details
High resolution digital negatives can be used in any way that you see fit. Print as much as you want, as large as you want, from wherever you want without a watermark.
Images and Printing Rights
To reserve the date, a non-refundable retainer of 50% is required. That is applied to the overall balance. Final payments are due at 7 days out from the session date.
Payment
Each image is individually hand edited. However, I do not do extreme body, face, or hair retouching. Blemishes will be edited on a case by case basis at the sole discretion of Katy. Edited files will be delivered to the client in JPEG format. RAW files will never be delivered to a client. Additional editing changes or revisions can be purchased at $100/hr.
Editing
If the location of the session is outside 14 miles of 46142, a travel fee of $75 will be added to cover to travel expenses.

So you're ready to book?
I'm SO pumped you're ready to book. Head to this link below. Choose your session and date. You will then receive a contract and invoice within 24 hours. If there are any additional fees, they will be added at the time of the invoice. We'll choose a location a little closer to the session date! And, as always, reach out if you have any questions!

"it's so hard to get my spouse/kids to smile. should we practice at home? what do we do?"
First things first, you do not need to worry about this. Here's what you can do to help the situation. Come in with ZERO expectations. Do not expect perfection, do not expect smiles the entire time. Expect to have fun, to giggle, to snuggle. Make sure kids (and spouses) are fed. Bring snacks, but nothing that is messy. Suckers are okay, but wait until the end. Bribery is more than okay. I am not above bribery. Honestly, don't practice at home. I don't love big cheesy fake smiles anyway. I'll do everything I can to make everyone comfortable.

"Can I give you a list of the photos I want?"
Short answer, no. Long answer, also no but with reasons. No, because with a list comes expectations. With kids, you cannot expect anything to go perfect during a session. I prefer to take the session as it comes. We may take breaks, have a snack, running races, etc. Patience is key for sessions. This doesn't mean we won't get photos that you want, but I will not be checking off a list that you provide.

WILL I GET ALL OF THE PHOTOS YOU TOOK? HOW WILL YOU SEND THE EDITED
PHOTOS TO ME?
No, but trust me, the outtakes can be rough. You don't want those. Mid-sneeze? No thanks. I take pride in only presenting you with the best of the best.
You will receive a password protected, online gallery with your fully edited images. Within 2-4 weeks for family and studio sessions. Download those bad boys to your computer (and back them up) or order prints. It's up to you!

I WOULD JUST LOVE IT IF YOU COULD TRAVEL TO ME! DO YOU DO THAT?
YES PLEASE AND THANK YOU. For real though, I love traveling and sleeping in hotel beds. It's weird, but it's fine. I do charge a travel fee anywhere outside the state of Indiana, but if you're on my travel bucket list you will get a seriously great deal!

"Help! What do we wear??"
Good news! You'll get some help in that department! Once we pick a location, you'll get information on how to choose your outfits. Simply enough though, be comfortable. Wear color. Wear patterns. And don't wear anything in neon colors.

First, I'm so excited you've picked me! Second, I'll get a little more info from you and build your contract. The non-refundable retainer of 50% of the total session fee and the signed contract are both required to secure your date. I do book on a first come, first serve basis, so keep that in mind!
